Choose the Hummingbird 270 for everyday hand sewing when its wire fits your needle. The rotating cover protects the wire between uses, and the built-in cutter trims thread. It is not recommended for beading needles.45
Choose 3114 for darning needles and hard-twist lace thread or fancy yarn. Its zinc body and stainless steel wire form a solid threader with a large opening. Avoid bending or forcing it.67
